What's the Census?

6 months ago this entire sub was calling for a moon shoot

Today the sub seems to have lost its hope

Are y'all holding, buying, offloading?

You lads seem to have lost the wind from your sails

How to gain more influence

I have settled 3 islands in the old world, 2 islands in the new world, and 1 in anbessa

My global population is 7,100. I don't have investors yet, I'm at engineer rank

However, my influence hovers around 4-10. I can't build new steamships, I can't build trade unions, I cant buy shares in other islands. All things I would like to do as I'm building my fleet to take on Anne Harlow

Looking at the influence ranks, I see I need more population to gain influence. Is there another way to increase influence without increasing population?

Adhesive Options?

Did a weekend project replacing all of my basement windows with block and mortar. I was pretty happy with how it turned out, we got a rain storm today and there wasn't a single leak. This was my first masonry project so I'm still learning.

I purchased some stucco insulation panels and Loctite PL375. The Loctite would not stick to the blocks and insulation board. I applied a large amount and put direct pressure on for over 24 hours. The insulation board fell right off when I removed pressure.

What do y'all use to attach insulation stucco boards to foundation block?

I don't want to drill into the block if I don't have to, would like to secure with adhesive if I can

Burnout

I'm going on year 5 of LE and I'm burnt out. I don't have the ambition to stop cars anymore, I don't do nearly as much foot patrol as I used to, I'm on the special teams I want to be on, promotional opportunities are 10-15 years away as I have to wait for our, young-ish, leadership to retire.

Going to work isn't fun anymore. I feel like a mobile secretary who drives around and takes petty complaints. When I bust my ass and create a self initiated case, our DA throws out laughable bail amounts (ex. Recent arrest for trafficking 3 kilos of meth and a repeat offender from out of county given a signature bond)

I know I'm not the only one. I'm curious how y'all have coped with burnout.

Problematically, I don't know if there's another job around where I can make the money I make with the skills I have. 'wound packing' generally doesn't translate well to the private sector

‘He’s a mess’: Hartford Police Union on the arrest of former officer charged with manslaughter

23-year-old former Hartford Police Officer Joseph Magnano charged with manslaughter after mentally ill man rushes him with a knife. The man was tased several times and any attempts to create dialogue were ignored.

Preclusion was met time and time again.

Absolutely absurd decision by the Hartford Mayor and DAs office, I believe the $50,000 cash bail, a low bail for a first-degree manslaughter charge, shows that the judge agrees with the absurdity.

Any Hartford or CT officers that can weigh in on this?
