Must have DLCs?

Just finished the campaign on normal as a complete beginner. Super fun! Suboptimal supply lines and placement though. However I now want to play sandbox and reach even further (since I finished the campaign only with artisans). What are the must-have dlcs for a beginner?

Is there a mod that fixes the bug where you don’t get the promised bonus sugar from charlotte and Gennaro?

I have fried plantain kitchens and ice cream factories operating under charlotte the chocoholic and gennaro garibaldi, chocolatier by royal appointment, but none of these buildings are producing the bonus sugar. I tried the workarounds I could find online, (one suggested using only Gennaro, the other said to move sugar factories out of range) but neither fixed the issue.

The threads I found on the issue were quite old, and they said the bug already had multiple reports at that time, so I doubt Ubisoft has any interest in fixing it themselves. I was hoping one of our modders had taken the initiative.

Thx all in advance

============== Guide SAYS

Part 2

Theodora is relieved you chose to support her.

"Such a relief! I had a feeling you might be of open mind. Mr. Bader, of course, thinks you two are like peas in a pod, but then he only ever sees half the picture."

Industrial Espionage: Double Agent

Theodora asks you to deliver materials for her research.

"Mr. Brokeman had agreed to supply specific oils I required for a new patent I'm developing. As you know, he did not deliver, and without them I am stumped... can you help?"

Theodora urges you to deliver the goods quickly, before Mr. Bader finds out.

"Time is of the essence, now. Mr. Bader's already suspicious, and if there's any hope of making this product on my own terms... it must be underway before he is alerted."

Theodora begs your patience as she finalises the patent.

"Phew, just in time! I will use it right away - it was only meant to be the last little tweak to finish the prototype..."

Theodora is proud to unveil her lipstick patent.

"My newest patent! You've earned a look - The Lipstick! Now, to persuade Mr. Bader... Once stocked at the Drug Store, it can fulfill its intended purpose!"

Donny is surprised you supported Theodora in secret.

"Bit of a surprise you kept your involvement a secret, guru. You think her kind can be big players in the world of commerce? I suppose I'm going to have to hold up my hands and trust your superior instincts."

  • Nothing happens again until you use the Lipstick patent in a Drug Store, which triggers the following:

Donny is enthused by how cheap the lipstick was to develop.

"Bit of luck this lipstick stuff is a goer, and a bargain! The lab found ways to produce it more cheaply than expected."

================== DONE Until HERE

Part 3 --> This PART HAS not started in more than an hour of play ? Help ?

Theodora is used to people going against her wishes.

"I'm no longer surprised Mr. Bader thinks of you as one of his betters. You're all the same as far as I'm concerned - do what you must."

Any Help appreciated

Thx in advance

Anyone Know Any Mod for increase max player size?

Like the title asks. I'm looking for mods to allow for more players/AI opponents active at the same time in a session.
I know there is the AI shipyard mod, which I also use, and is wonderful for letting you enjoy a session even if you wipe out enemies, as you can re-add them, or add any of the other AI opponents in the game. But what I really want is more active factions. Even if it just makes the Neutral traders into their own factions like the pirates.

I grew up playing a lot of Starcraft against bots, and it was so fun with multiple factions all fighting each other. I know it would possibly get more laggy on Anno1800 with more factions active at once, but a full island is still just a full island, so I doubt it would be absolutely game-breaking.

Production stopped, Nowhere to go?

Not sure if this is what's happening. My campaign has bottlenecked so I think I'll restart with what i've learned. However I'm a bit confused by the following:

I have timber yards.

I have warehouses in range.

My production seems to be backed up, but I'm not sure why. I only have a couple of yards and I've built a shed load of warehouses. Surely I don't need to buy more.

Also, why is there a group of workers in the street? If i click on them the vo just says (to the effe due zzct of) we want you to do something, but it never says what?

I think there's a lot of stuff i'm supposed to be doing that the game isn't telling me. I got to the point where i built my first iron mine and it's all going weird. Should i have trade routes up and running by now? I haven't built any ships yet due to lumber shortages.

Is there a way to see the range of a building before you place it, so you know where the warehouse, for example, needs to be?

I am playing on xbox, thanks

Finally got a gaming laptop.

Well, we finally after a bunch of mix ups and hoops aquired a nice gaming laptop from Costco.

Along comes steam summer sale and I picked up the year 5 gold pack so I finally (after losing my soul to this game on console) can play the expansions.

Oh man am I stoked.

And super intimidated hahaha... there is A LOT of content here... and I feel like if I add it all at once my head will explode.

Do you guys have any advice for how to work myself into these expansions as a seasoned anno 1800 enthusiast who's never played any of the expansions?

What’s the highest attractiveness level you’ve ever achieved?

Yes, I might’ve used a few mods, just a few.

This image makes me wanna get Empire of the skies

I have several DLCs for the game but flying ships DLC were always a bit too steampunk for me… And then I saw the exhibition about airship raids in WWI over Adriatic sea. I’m sold, these image is so Anno 1800. :)

Now I would need some advice about airships and what the hell do they do in the game …😆

Just need advice from expert players

Hi everyone, I've got this game since a few years maybe but I've actually started playing during last week.

First of all, I'll try to make it comprehensible but english is not my first language, so be patient please.

I'm currently facing an issue with the different populations. I've got farmers, workers and artisans (i don't know if they're called this way in english). I've come to a point were my factories can't stand the consume of all the farmers needs, so I upgraded to workers. Once I've done that, same issue with the workers needs, so I upgraded a lot of them to "artisans".

It looks like I've found a balance between population and production rate but am I supposed to play like this?

Can somebody help me out here?

So here's the thing, I'm relatively new to the game and I've probably got maybe 10 hours in. I'm trying to unlock iron excavation by building an iron mine on the small island just north of me from where you first started out on the campaign. When I try to build the mine, it says route to harbor/warehouse blocked. I've tried to run a road from the new trade Post that I have built right there on the shoreline and it doesn't do anything. What am I doing wrong cuz it's driving me crazy?

Ok so how do I actually win a war?

New to the game, but not the series. I'm on my second attempt, I turned off pirates since they were kicking my ass, but decided to try playing with the Anarchist. I've gotten a decently sophisticated economy, up to Artisans in the Old World, and the second tier in the new world, mostly keeping them all happy. I'm barely balancing the budget, but most of that has gone into my military I suspect, since I built a fleet of over a dozen ships of the line.

The Anarchist starts causing my pop happiness to go down so I decide my fleet will teach him a lesson. Only they are absolutely obliterated by his port. He didn't even have any ships, just a couple turrets at his city. Half my fleet was gone before it even got close enough to fire. It was a military catastrophe. Now I have no fleet, and he's pissed off, I'm sure my karma is coming in the form of an Anarchist fleet on my doorstep any minute now.

So the question is how do I actually defeat an enemy in this game? I had 12 Ships of the line, more than I could afford, and they barely made a dent. Are you not meant to attack the AI? It felt like fighting a late game boss with starter equipment. Or is there something I'm missing here?

I had a similar experience in my first game with the pirates, but I figured their lairs are meant to be unbeatable to prevent you from wiping them out completely, since they similarly deleted my fleet of ships of the line.

EDIT:

Thank you all for the feedback, I've learned I need to either build a massive force of ships to spam the harbour, or wait till I get better technology. The AI has pretty thoroughly outpaced me so it looks like I'm limited to the former option. The only other Anno games I've played are the first two, 1602 and 1503, and while they are goated games, they did not prepare me for the challenge.

Ditchwater!

This is my first long run after facing defeat previously with the notorious Beryl. I have reached 3k investors in Ditchwater. Reached the New Worlds and recently reached 1k Aristas. What should I do next ? Complete the questline, go to Enbesa or go to Crown Falls. I am stuck at 17-20k money and have a bank balance of 42 million.
