Scholars on multiple islands

Hi, got a question cos I can't find an answer on the wiki. If I build scholars on multiple islands, does that contribute to my total that can use the research institute? cos I know the research institute can only be on one island. If not I'll have to demolish it on Crown Falls and build it on another island lol

Advice on what to drink in the evenings??

Hey everyone, I've been trying to slim down and get back to the waistline I had a few years ago lol.

Even though I'm not gaining weight, I'm almost certain that what I drink is the main thing preventing me from losing more weight. I rly love the taste of beer, but obviously don't want to be drinking alcohol every night, so I tend to drink non-alcoholic beer a fair amount, basically every other evening I'll have 4 330ml bottles because I honestly can't think of anything better to drink, especially with the kind of heatwaves we're having atm. However, potentially adding another 400+ calories from carbs to my daily intake right before I go to bed is obviously pretty bad.

I don't have a sweet tooth at all so I'm rly not into drinking fizzy stuff, it's too hot and not exactly thirst quenching to drink tea, water I have plenty of already in a day so it's kind of boring to drink that; feels like there just aren't many options for savoury drinks like beer?

Any recommendations lmk :)

Falklands and overseas territories lowkey remind me of the tiny island in Anno 1800 and how useful they can be despite their size

With the recent World Cup controversy around Argentina being absolutely obsessed with colonising someone else's islands in the name of anti-colonialism (flawless logic), I keep seeing parallels between how it's really easy to ignore a lot of those tiny islands in Anno 1800 that seemingly give you very little in terms of population and resources, but can actually make it way easier to defend against enemies if they have port defences and sometimes have a ton of resources for their size.

Really makes you understand why the UK for example has kept hold of a ton of these tiny sparsely populated/uninhabitated islands for the sake of claims to resources and military power projection; also why China are making those artificial islands in the South China Sea. One of the other things that makes the game more realistic I guess.

An alternative for West Virginia

As Europeans will know but Americans may need reminding, the Ruhr valley was basically the biggest producer of steel and all sorts of heavy machinery, even surpassing the UK during the late stages of the industrial revolution.

It's not a total analogue to the US rust belt, and maybe there are other areas in Europe that are more comparable, but I just wanted to mention that like Mr Vaush says, there totally is an alternative to the constant whining about 'muh retvrn to coal', these areas are all still totally usable and productive, outside of like random coffee shops and walking paths

Challenger 3 APS and in game prospects

Took these photos of the new Challenger 3 which was shown for the first time in public at Bovington Tankfest this weekend. As a Brit I’ve been following the development a bit over the past couple of years and it looks soooo different from the original Technology Demonstrator that is in game.

I think those covered light green patches on the top four corners of the turret are the new Active Protection System developed by Raphael?? Which looks so sleek and more integrated than any other APS systems on current tanks, like on Merkava. Also the armour looks way different from Chally 2, and this doesn’t even have the TES or OES package on it.

I feel like if Gaijin actually do this justice, it would have to be one of the best tanks in game right?? Like the best bits of Leo and Black Knight combined.

Anyone with compact stand experience?

Thinking of getting the 'Hercules Stands HCGS-402B' which is one of those mini compact ones that only supports the back of the body, however I'm pretty sceptical they'd be good enough for such a tall instrument as a 34 inch scale bass, does anyone have experience with them? If so are my fears of the whole thing crashing over justified or not, thanks

Tourist Season department

Does anyone have any recommendations for the best Local Department policy for a Tourist island? I was thinking that the policy which gives publlic buildings a greater area of influence would be best, anyone got any thoughts?

New and Old World fertility

Potatoes and peppers are from the Americas, aka The New World in game, but they’re grown in the Old World before you even get to the New World lol.

Can anyone think of any other teeeeechnically incorrect fertilities or resources in game? Just curious
