I'm an immigrant. I came to Germany to work four years ago. I feel that things in Germany have gotten worse during that time. There are probably both internal and external causes for this. As far as internal factors are concerned, here’s my take:
Germany is a country resistant to innovation. Also, Germany makes itself unattractive to qualified people who can contribute to society; while it makes itself attractive to unqualified people who abuse the system and, ultimately, contribute little or nothing to the country.
The most obvious consequence of these is economic decline. This decline generates dissatisfaction among the population, which in turn fuels a worrying trend toward seeking “alternative” ways of governing, making politics, and managing the economy.
Do you agree with this perspective? Do you agree with the premise that there is a noticeable and systematic decline across various sectors of german society and that it has an underlying structural common cause?
