My son has an opportunity to play football at West Point. Unfortunately he’s has recently been diagnosed with Keratoconus which we have learned is a disqualifying condition in the military. He’s is currently going into his senior year of high school with a year left. West Point is where he really wants to go but I’m afraid this will keep him out. We are currently in the process of getting the cross-linking procedure done. I have read where there have been medical waivers approved after the procedure has been done. But if he has to wait 12 months post CXL to show stability, that would be too late.
Im new to this whole thing(Keratoconus as well as the military) so any advice or guidance would be appreciated
