Apologies for the crosspost, in case you've already seen my post on r/AcousticGuitar

I believe this is a repair / maintenance related query, though I understand if moderators don't agree. I've not posted in this sub before and I apologise if it's off the sub's focus.

However, I'd really appreciate your opinions on this purchase while I have 2 weeks to change my mind. (Ignore the weird break angle on the low E – I'm using strings that have quite a fat winding near the ball end...)

*

I'm currently trying out this 2017 Martin OM21, with a two week window to change my mind. I paid what I think is a fair price, £2000. Not a steal or a mega-bargain, but reasonable, and certainly the most expensive instrument I've bought.

It's a big financial commitment to me, and I'd appreciate people's opinions of whether this is a sensible buy...

Pros:
Sounds perfect to me. Action is currently fine. It's in great cosmetic condition too, with just a tiny ding. And I really like how it plays.

Cons:
Saddle is low. Leaving less than 1mm of adjustability. Straight edge on neck points to just below the top of the bridge (nothing drastic, but it isn't level or above.)

I know that nobody has a crystal ball, but what do you reckon?

Given that it's nearly a 10 year old guitar... would you gamble on that actin not changing drastically in the next few years? Or is the current action / saddle combo looking like borderline bad news?

Context: I monitor the humidity in the rooms my guitars live in, and it's pretty consistently somewhere between 40-60 RH, usually like 55.

However, my house is not a museum and I keep the guitars on hand to play, and they don't live 24/7 in their cases. I have three other all solid acoustics that I've never had issues looking after, and hoping the Martin isn't going to be too finicky in comparison.

Apologies for the long post.

If you've read this far, please give me your opinion!

Does anyone play a Brook guitar? Tempted to buy a Brook Lamorna sight unseen (sway my decision!!!!)

I'm seriously considering a Brook Lamorna (spruce/rosewood) and would love to hear from anyone who's played one.

However, it is impossible for me to travel and try it first. (It would be a Reverb purchase so there's no returns either.)

I'd been planning to find a secondhand Martin OM21 as my next guitar, but I'm very tempted due to the fact the Brook a truly boutique handmade guitar. (As-is, the 2nd hand Brook comes in slightly cheaper.)

I realise they're likely very different guitars and buying sight unseen is inadvisable and impulsive. But if anyone has ay insights I"d be very grateful!

For context I've been playing guitar about 20 years, on and off. I've sold two other guitars to fund having something nicer.

__

Edit: Interesting I'm hearing love for Brook but nobody 100% saying 'get the Martin'. Will try and get to London this week!
