Can someone who thinks Azriel’s shadows don’t like Elain explain to me why ?

I just finished ACOSF reread. Do shadows retreat when Elain is there? Yep. Do they also retreat when he laughs or chuckles? Yep. Do they darken his face or prepare to strike when Elain is being attacked? Yep.
It’s canon that she lights up his shadows and that they are protective of her? Or do you interpret these scenes differently? I’m looking for genuine answers as I see this argument way too often and I’m trying to see if I missed something.

Azriel’s shadows are neither good nor bad.

I think the shadows are being overanalyzed. They are neither good nor bad. They were created out of trauma and necessity. Their main role was to protect him and to keep him company on the many lonely childhood years he had. They still protect him to this day. But I think Azriel finds them kind of annoying and wishes they would stfu sometimes. I don’t think they will ever leave him but I do think and he gets tired of their constant chirping and wishes for quiet sometimes.
