Awaiting Psych Int
This wait for my interview with psych doc has me so anxious, but in a good way. Seeing a lot of you getting the call up makes me excited. Hope everyone is doing well. If you're like me waiting WE GOT THIS!

Saw AD on IG currently living about 42 minutes from sing sing correctional facility. Hopefully I can be placed here zone 1.
Applied July 10th got my packed around the 14th. Drove to Cohoes around the 27th. Very long day 😴 2 hour 20 minute drive back home.
Suit and Tie!
We did standard height and weight, hearing, blood tests EKG, then a physical with the doctor. Staff was really cool, funny small talk.
Went back downstairs, finger print stage. Easy
Then interview with background investigator who I really thought was cool. I learned even more he answered all my questions.
Scheduled me for psych test on the 29th. I've taken one before so I expected it to be extensive. Only thing I have juvenile history so it was annoying to write about it over and over but you have to.
Took me about 4 hours to complete, then scheduled my appointment with the psych doctor about 2 months away unfortunately but good things comes to those who wait.
My advice: attend the virtual recruitment session to learn, wear a suit and tie, be in cohoes 30 minutes before arrival time, make sure packet is complete day before, make sure you have all your docs birth certificate, money order for finger print, 2 passport photos, transcripts ssn and license. Bring light food that doesn't stink up a room or snacks lol. I brought snack wraps apple sauce and water. You will be hungry. Tell the truth about everything because if not they will find out. many people didn't have their stuff completed and it will only delay your process LISTEN
Watch videos on YouTube recommend ghetto body builder he gives good advice.
No news is good news!
Training: run with a weighted vest everyday to build stamina and endurance. 100 push ups sit ups per day, ton of water.
Hopefully I can get in, rewarding career despite what ppl say. Only way you know if its for you is by doing it. I wish everyone considering this path GOOD LUCK. Pray for me
I need that LT status and pay 🤑 🙏🏽 🚨. #NYSDOCCS
