Need advice on fixing my AECB / credit profile in the UAE
Around 2 years ago, I had some credit card issues which I eventually fully cleared. Strangely, after settling everything, my AECB score dropped to around 300.
Since then I’ve been trying to rebuild it properly. I kept my payments on time, had a full-year apartment contract where I was paying through monthly cheques, and over time my score recovered all the way to 668.
Then around 2 months ago, I had a cheque returned because of an issue related to a hospital payment, which was genuinely a mistake.
Now despite having a stable job, salary, and a much better score, I still seem unable to access basically any banking products.
I’m not trying to take crazy loans or debt. I just want to properly fix my banking profile, eventually be able to finance a car, and have a normal relationship with banks again.
Has anyone gone through something similar? What would you recommend doing from here, and is there any way to get the old issues properly reviewed instead of just waiting indefinitely?
