Engagement ring shopping after 10 years
I’ve been with my partner for 10 years and we’re at that stage where marriage has always been part of the plan, just not rushed.
We recently started talking about engagement rings. I showed him a few styles I like, and he also started asking questions about what I actually want. I already know my ring size and I have a clear idea in mind, so I thought it would be simple.
But now it feels a bit in-between. He said he wants to be part of choosing the ring since it’s a big decision, which I totally understand. At the same time, I also feel like I already kind of know my preference, especially after seeing pieces from Lucce and similar styles online.
So now I’m just a bit confused in a light way. Do couples usually pick it together first then keep the proposal as the surprise? Or is it more of a shared decision from the start?
Not a problem, just that funny stage where everything is half planned but still feels special.
