What if Black Widow and Quicksilver teamed up?
In this universe of 2009, Pietro Maximoff exists within the MCU, and Nick Fury has taken note of his extraordinary thefts via surveillance footage. Fury assigns Natasha Romanoff—a 25-year-old rookie agent at the time—to recruit the 16-year-old Pietro into S.H.I.E.L.D. The two team up, with Natasha acting as his handler and rigorously training him as an agent; despite their clashing personalities, they gradually grow closer. Eventually, they participate in the mission in Odessa—the very operation that results in Natasha sustaining an abdominal injury.
