Sauron with the One

What power(s) do you think they will endow Sauron with once he creates the One Ring? His quest was for 'power over flesh', correct? I wonder how they will choose to show this. I think they will need to show some change in his abilities sufficient to make his quest seem worthwhile. A related issue is - will he wait to distribute the Nine until after creating the One. You can assume that the Nine would be corrupting without the One, but perhaps the recipients wouldn't be that controllable without the One. Canon says that the foundations of Baradur were created with the power of the One and will endure while it lasts. Towers of the Teeth, Cirith Ungol, and Minas Ithil all built by the Numenorians - probably ToT & CU after battle of the Last Alliance. If he has the One in Numenor I suppose his powers of manipulation should be enhanced . Thoughts?

Amon Sul

I was listening to FotR audiobook the other day and this line by 'Strider' struck me as he is telling the hobbits about Weathertop (paraphrase from recollection): "it is broken now but one it was tall and fair, and it is said that Elendil watched from the tower for the coming of Gil Galad in the days of the Last Alliance" Perhaps someone can provide the exact quote. Do you suppose we will get to see such a scene in S5? Recall that Amon Sul housed one of the palantiri.
