من سنة 89..وخلال 30 سنة من سنوات حكمهم المشؤوم.. كانت محصلة حكم الإسلاميين هي:

مجزرة العيلفون التي وقعت في 2 أبريل 1998، حيث قتل النظام البائد أكثر من 177 شاباً (تتراوح أعمارهم بين 14 و18 عاماً) أثناء محاولتهم الهرب من المعسكر للتمتع بإجازة عيد الأضحى مع عائلاتهم، فيما غرق العشرات منهم في نهر النيل المجاور.
