Ideally not romance,
the one I am most interested in watching first is either "Ivan's childhood" as I feel like it is very personal to Tarkovsky as he was growing up under stalinism as well as life during the great patriotic war. The second being "Missing" by Costa-Gavras; I enjoyed state of siege, and are interested in seeing more of his work.
I have looking to own some Kubrick work for a while; thus the "the killing" and "Dr stangelove"
3.Blind buys were "stalker" (it came along with the set, and I already own a copy) and "foreign corespondent" by Hitchcock, I thought the cover was interesting and have been watching some of his stuff online.
1-2)I found this stack while searching for Melville films, the one I am most interested in watching is Army of shadows as I believe it hits close to home for Melville;Le Cercle Rouge with its slick design I thought it looks good on the shelf
4)I am planning on getting some more Wes Anderson films after this; Fantastic Mr fox was the first one of his that I saw and would like to add it to the collection. Otherwise Z and a parallax view are also being searched for.
