Health is significantly better, but can’t satisfy hunger?
I quit consuming refined sugar and starches (except for lentils and some beans) about a month ago and feel significantly better both mentally and physically. My anxiety has decreased considerably, my PMDD symptoms are almost undetectable, sleeping better, more level energy throughout the day. However the one thing I’m noticing is I’m constantly hungry. At first I thought I was just thirsty so I upped my water intake substantially, however the hunger persists. I’m eating all healthy things such as vegetables, beans, very little fruits, lean meats, yoghurt. Embarrassingly though it’s not working, and every two hours I’m desperate for another meal/snack. All of this eating is also getting very expensive! Despite eating more I am losing fat, and feel great aside from the constant hunger/eating. But my wallet isn’t very happy. I plan on getting blood work and a physical exam done just to be safe, possibly seeing a nutritionist, but if my health is good, any suggestions? I’d love to feel full after two hours of eating. 😅
