My denial was difficult overcome, yet I found a way. I wrote an essay in English class about the most important childhood memory I had. I chose the first time that I ever thought about being a girl. I was 5 years old when I first thought about how I’d love to be a pretty girl who wears dresses. As I grew older, the need to love myself grew stronger. Problem was just that the real me is a girl, and other people didn’t see me like that, so I became sad and wished to become a girl. I now realize that I get to be a young woman and honor the girl who has hidden in my heart. I deserve to be a woman. I want to be told that I’m a brave girl. I get to be a woman because I am one. I get to be a woman forever because I want that. I’m at peace. No one can take who I am from me. I’m Maria, and I use she/her pronouns. My identity makes me feel safe and comfortable. I need to tell people what I want, but for now, I’m happy being me. I’m not lesser for being a woman than when I was pretending to be a man. I’m so much more. I get to define my womanhood, and I’ve just begun to value that. I love that my identity belongs to me and me alone. I love the direction that I’m taking now. Do you think I could have some support to keep going?

I think it must be for the very reason that I am a girl in real life and I value my complexity and humanity that I don’t like engaging with the fetishization of women. I wanted to become a woman because that’s who I am. The fetish thing was an excuse to keep it hidden, and now it just causes me nothing but pain. Is it okay for me to leave this kind of thing in the past because it causes conflict with my identity? Are my feelings about this valid? Have any other women gone through this sort of thing, too? -Maria (she/her)

I feel really bad about this. But it only ever seems to happen when I’m dressed neutral or boyish. I want to be a girl. All day, every day non-stop. May I please just be a girl at this point. I like to be called Maria and use she/her pronouns

Imposter syndrome’s beating me down, but I, Maria, shall rise from the ashes as a wonderful lady! This I swear: Shaken is my heart‘s resolve, yet unbroken! I will be a beautiful girl yet! Just you wait!

So I’m pre-HRT, and I was wondering I’ve any hope for the future. I’m a 19 year old trans girl

Hi, I’m Maria, and as you can tell, I’m a bit of a mess, but I want to know if I have any shot at being pretty and feminine. I have always wanted to be a pretty girl from a young age and wanted to know if I’ll ever be a good looking woman. What do you ladies think? Do I have potential? (I use she/her pronouns)

It always feels so good when other people tell me that I’m a good girl, so I just had to try it on myself! Now that I’ve said it, it feels true! The pain’s easing, and I feel like I can cry. I think, maybe, this means I’m a girl. Would you agree with my assessment? If it counts as more evidence, I totally want to be called a good girl again! -Maria (she/her)

It’s like all of my problems become worth solving. My life is worth living. I can feel true happiness. That’s how it feels to be called Maria, she/her, and a girl, and especially a good girl. I simply must be a girl! Is this what is called gender euphoria? Am I a good girl?

It was weird, too, because I can remember wanting to, for example, wear dresses, or even just relate to female characters, but I felt like I couldn’t, and so I kept fantasizing about doing it, and was disappointed with myself until I finally did years later and felt happier than ever. I guess I just need to hear that I can still be a good girl now, even though I knew to keep this side of me hidden for so long. Is that alright? -Maria (she/her)

Such aforementioned desires that I’ve had include, but are not limited to: the desire to dress up girly and wear makeup, the desire to look cute, the desire to have wide hips, breasts, lady parts and a more feminine face. Wanting to belong among girls and women, wanting to be called a girl, and wanting to feel what it is like to live as a girl. And above all else, the desire to be a girl. May I please have some GGD? I feel good calling myself a girl! What do you think of that?- Maria (she/her)

I just want to be a good girl, and wear a good dress with some good shoes and accessories! I want to be cute and glittery! Can I do that? Could I make the world a better place by being Maria? If so, that would be the most wonderful thing to me! -Maria (she/her; GGD addict)

Regardless of how difficult the life of a woman gets, it will always seem preferable to me. I also want to have boobs wide hips and a bigger butt, and have the strange desire to be impregnated despite how difficult and tolling I know pregnancy to be, and that I know I ‘s impossible. I want to be called Maria and she/her, as that the only way I can be really happy. What does this say about me?

Hmm... Yeah, I like the sound of the phrase “I am a girl”. It feels really good to say that… Hmm…do you think maybe that means it’s true? I really hope it’s true! May I perhaps get some GGD, please?

My deadname is technically gender neutral, but I genuinely cannot stand it as it reminds me of all of the years of internalized dysphoria that I spent living as a boy. It’s not a common name around here, thankfully, but it makes me all the more upset when someone brings it up with me even more as it feels like a direct attack.I hate having to coexist with the name of my false identity, and I despise even more that my mom insists on describing it as a “name of love”, even though I’ve made it clear that it doesn’t make me feel loved at all. My mom has known my real name for seven month. This is just upsetting. Is it okay for me to feel bad about this? May I please have some GGD? My real name is Maria, and I use she/her pronouns. I am a girl. It doesn’t matter what I’ve called myself before. I’m Maria, and it feels terrible to be called something else, particularly with that much pain behind it. Are my feelings valid?

The guy I grew up as always felt like a cover. I always felt like I had the feelings and mindset of a girl. I was always hoping for an opportunity to show off Maria, the girl I always thought I was, to the world. I want to use she/her pronouns and wear cute outfits. I think I’m even going to have an opportunity to do that soon. So, what do you think, is it cool if I embrace being a girl? Do you think that I can be a cutie?

I don’t even know if I’m good enough to be a girl. I just want to be a good girl. I want to wear pretty dresses and skirts and cute tops and shoes. I really just want to be a girl. I want to be Maria. I need some encouragement. I don’t feel like myself dressed like this -Marianne (Mary/Maria) she/her

I just want to wear pretty dresses and skirts, and makeup and be a girl. I feel like my dad’s holding me back from really being a girl. He won’t hurt me or kick me out, but I’m worried about how he’ll feel. Should I just try out dressing up in dresses and skirts out more often? I just want to feel like a real girl. Not being one hurts.-Marianne (Mary/Maria) she/her
