I purchased an Oral-B iO8 electric toothbrush in Australia on 15 November 2024. The toothbrush comes with a 24-month warranty, so it is still well within the warranty period. I have the original receipt, proof of purchase, product documentation, and the production code.

Recently, the toothbrush developed two issues:

• The display screen stopped working completely.
• The battery now lasts only around 1 to 1.5 days after a full charge.

I contacted Oral-B Consumer Care and provided all requested information, including photos and the production code. They asked me to try various troubleshooting steps, including full charging, checking charger placement, and performing a reset. Unfortunately, none of these resolved the issues.

Oral-B then referred me to their authorized Australian service center. I contacted the service center and was instructed to send the toothbrush for assessment. However, when I explained that I currently live in Sri Lanka, they informed me that they only service customers within Australia and could not accept an overseas submission.

The problem is that Oral-B has also informed me that there is currently no Oral-B service center available in Sri Lanka.

So at the moment, I seem to be stuck in a situation where:

• The product is still under warranty.
• I have proof of purchase.
• Oral-B Sri Lanka support is unavailable.
• The Australian service center will not accept products from outside Australia.

I have followed every instruction provided to me and contacted every party I was directed to contact, but I still have no practical way to obtain warranty service.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation with Oral-B or another international warranty claim? Is there a department or escalation path that I should be contacting?

I’m not looking for anything beyond the warranty support that came with the product. I’m simply trying to understand how a customer is supposed to access that warranty when living outside the country of purchase.

Any advice would be appreciated.
