Deputy Head Richard Hudson, who taught her English and religious studies described Catherine as very "sporty" during her time at the school.
He added: "She held our record for the high jump... for about 20 years she's had that.
"She was very hard working, very polite and friendly, [and] very kind to the younger children."

Catherine's paternal grandmother, Valerie Glassborow, later Middleton, worked at the Government Code and Cypher School’s top-secret headquarters during World War Two as a code breaker with her twin sister Mary Glassborow.
Records show that Catherine’s grandmother Valerie worked in Hut 16 (now named Hut 6) at Bletchley Park as a Foreign Office Civilian in the Cover Management Y section, which managed the interception of enemy signals for decryption at Bletchley Park.

The visit was part of a series of engagements the Prince and Princess of Wales were doing that week related to World Mental Health Day.
Both universities encourage proactive mental health management. At Nottingham Trent University they support students by focusing on participation and helping them to develop a sense of belonging and connectivity to their community. The two universities work together to share best practice on this and many other issues, as part of their ‘Universities for Nottingham’ approach to positive collaboration.
