Tascam Portacapture X6 - question about reverb source setting for the owners

Hi all,

From the manual, it looks like setting the reverb source to MIX applies reverb only to the output, not to what's being recorded. So I'd hear reverb in my headphones while tracking, but the recorded take would stay dry.

Is that right? Has anyone confirmed this in practice?

Thanks!

AKG c414xls vs c414xlii for recording singer/songwriter sessions?

I want to be able to record my singer songwriter sessions in the semi treated room in my home.

I would be playing guitar (sometimes classical and sometimes steel string) and my vocal is a tenor range male vocal.

I had really nice results with akg c12 and tlm103 on my solo vocals in the past.

I would like to record both the guitar and vocals at the same time to capture a performance.

Style is a freak folky, north europe folk, ameircan primitive guitar.

I alredy use rode nt1 with decent results but I am looking to get upgrade and alos to buy a versatile microphone for life.

Maybe in future I can get another 414 and to double 8 fig recording.

Xlii looks a bit more interesting to me right now.

Please advise based on your experience.
