Need Advice: How Can I Make Life Easier for My Mom During Breast Cancer Treatment? Please Upvote Even If You Don’t Have Advice, So This Can Reach Someone Who Can Help.

USED AI to Paraphrase. Kindly Excuse.

We live close to Miyapur

My mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I live in the US, and I'll be coming to Hyderabad for about 2 months to be with her, take her to the hospital, manage appointments, get things organized, and just support her emotionally.

After I leave, my sister will be coming from another country and staying with her for some more time and i will go again after 2 more months. I'm trying to figure out how I can make life as easy as possible for both of them ( all of us ) for the next 6–8 months.

Financially, I'm not super stable or anything. I recently finished paying off my student loans and only just started saving properly. I've managed to save around ₹12L. Most of that will obviously go toward my mom's treatment, but I'm completely okay using a good portion of my savings if it means she me and my sister can live with less stress during this period.

I'm thinking I could spend around ₹30k–₹40k per month on household help and other services. That's roughly ₹3–4L over 8 months, which I'm okay with if it genuinely makes all our lives easier.

I'm mainly looking for recommendations for:

  • Reliable full-time or part-time maid services
  • Someone who can cook home-style Brahmin/vegetarian food
  • Deep cleaning services before her treatment starts
  • Reliable drivers/cabs for hospital visits (I don't have a car and I can't drive)
  • Patient caregivers/attendants if we need them
  • Laundry services
  • Dependable grocery delivery
  • Any services specifically for elderly people or cancer patients
  • Anything else that I'm probably not even thinking about right now

Regarding the Brahmin cook part I'm not trying to start a caste discussion here. My mom is very particular about food and won't eat food from non-veg restaurants, and if someone is coming home to cook, she is only comfortable with a Brahmin cook. I've tried talking to her about it, but she's not going to change her mind right now. At this point, I just want to find something that works for her while she's going through treatment.

If you've gone through something similar with a parent or family member, I'd really like to know what you arranged that actually made a difference. It could be something small that I haven't thought about.

My goal isn't just to arrange food and cleaning. I want to remove as many everyday responsibilities as possible so that my mom can concentrate on treatment and recovery, and me,my sister can spend time with her instead of constantly worrying about cooking, cleaning, groceries, transportation, etc.

I'll be there on the ground for the first 2 months, so hopefully I'll understand the problems better once I'm there and can set things up before I leave. I know I can't solve everything, but I at least want to try and make this period a little easier for them.

Would really appreciate any recommendations, contacts in Hyderabad, or lessons from people who have been through something similar.

Thanks.
