Hi all

Today I got the following message in the driver display:

Emergency call system failure

This happened after I parked the car and went into a shop for around 15 mins. Was perfectly normal before that but as soon as I got back into the car the eSIM wouldn’t connect and the error message came.

I’ve tried the system reboots by holding down the volume button etc. tried to reset BMW ID but now cannot get a QR code and get an error saying network isn’t available. In built nav can’t detect where the car is either.

Left it for 45 mins to try and reboot and came back to the car with the same fault.

Any ideas or has this happened to anyone. I’ve had the car for less than 10 days lol.

I just had a couple of questions for the experts:

1. Music streaming - a lot of threads say HK sounds better with the in-car Spotify. Is that true? What’s it like to stream YT music with Apple CarPlay? What would you recommend?

2. Nav - how is Waze integration into the driver display? I’ve seen that Apple Maps/Google Maps integrate quite well into the driver display with minimal integration into HUD (just showing next turn) but what about Waze - does that too show up in the driver display? Not really fussed with it showing in HUD. What’s the native BMW nav like and what do you use normally? Is it better to use the BMW nav for longer trips where I may need to charge on the way?

3. Is the upgrade to Parking Assistant Professional worth it over the Plus? The Plus has the 360 cameras (which is what I wanted) but the biggest downside is the remote parking - does anyone actually use it?
