Is there any interest in advancing the college basketball GM game?

I admit I am more obsessed with college basketball than NBA, which has caused most of my saves to fizzle out when players I no longer recognize dominate the scene, as I care for players, not any specific teams. I have perused the archives in this subreddit and have seen dumbmatter's inclinations that he is interested in rejuvenating the college basketball game, but I haven't seen any word on him starting on that. In light of that wonderful sport just around the corner, is anyone here likewise interested in him resurrecting this game?

Why is there a huge potential discrepancy?

You can see that my player (on the right) has a higher potential in every conceivable category, yet his "potential rating" is 50 even though a player with lower potential has a potential rating of 70. Why is that? It doesn't make any sense. Note both guys are relief pitchers.

Highest Rated Player Suffers Career-Ender

In my OOTP 26 one pitch mode save, Michael Harris II blossoms into a surefire HOFer, only for a torn ACL to set him back for the length of his career. His career as such is borderline HOF even through 10 seasons; I only wish I could see what would have happened if it ran its natural course. At retirement, he was 85 or 90 overall, both highest in the save.

Contract Extension Question

If I have a player who has an original contract that goes through, say, 2032, then a team option for 2033, and then a contract extension from 2034-2037, what happens if the team option is declined? Will I even get the option to decline it?

To be clear, this was the Royals with Bobby Witt, and I am trying to figure out if I can cut him loose while good if I trade for him, or if I am stuck with him until he eats with a straw.
