Frustrated and venting

Two years ago after a minor surgery and too many nasid’s i woke up with my stomach on fire and terrible GERD like I had never experienced before I had a EGD and diagnosed with gastritis. Welcome two years of eating practically nothing, losing 20 lbs with no doctor being able to figure out why I felt so sick. Nausea all the time, eating chicken rice and broccoli (to this day remain on a limited diet…)

Fast forward two years to my follow-up EGD. I now have intestinal metaplasia. No more inflammation but apparently I had a chemical burn in my stomach (reactive gastropathy they called it) and apparently my stomach healed by changing the tissues to a different kind of- intestinal metaplasia. I’m so frustrated because I did everything right. I quit processed foods, sugar, acidic foods, alcohol, smoking weed. I took the supplements, the manuka honey you name it. And this happened. And I still aren’t myself. Certain foods still trigger me, I still have flares. Waiting to see my GI for follow up but so depressed about this :( I hate gastritis.

Panicking please help

I had an endo last week. They found gastric fundic gland polyps and this:
Stomach, random, biopsy: - Antral mucosa with focal reactive gastropathy and intestinal metaplasia; no dysplasia.

Is intestinal metaplasia as bad as google says it is…. Ugh

Post procedure

Has anyone still had gas and bloating 4 days after their colonoscopy? Also a lot of fatigue. I feel like I’m still recovering and am exhausted. Anyone else??? My procedure was on Tuesday it’s now Saturday. I finally had my first real BM today too. Thanks.
