Post op anesthesia site pain

Hey everyone,

I had my hair transplant surgery back on August 12th in Mexico, so I’m currently on Day 7 post-op.

Overall, my grafts and donor area are healing up cleanly, but I’ve been dealing with localized soreness and numb pain right at the spots where the anesthesia/occipital nerve block injections were administered at the base of my head.

The direct pressure when lying down seems to make it worse, which has made sleeping a real challenge over the past week.

For anyone who has gone through this:

  1. Did you face this issue?

  2. What are some strategies that you used to reduce pain

  3. Should i see my family doctor (I live in Ontario)?

Thanks.

Post-Op Pain at Anesthesia / Nerve Block Injection Sites? (Surgery on Aug 12th in Mexico)

  1. Did you experience persistent soreness or nerve pain at the injection points around the 1-week mark? How long did it take to fully clear up?

  2. Did any particular over-the-counter pain management or topical methods help calm that specific injection site inflammation?

Appreciate any advice or shared experiences!
