What do you all do with mutual funds (ELSS), NPS, PPF, NSC, LIC, EPFO, and Demat balances from earlier work in India after moving on a visa, and how does this change on a green card? Because U.S. residents are taxed on global income, is there any benefit to keeping these accounts? Would it be better to withdraw, gift, or consolidate some or all of them?
