I feel like the hardest part isn’t even making the videos. It’s figuring out where to actually find brands that will pay you 😭
I’ve been looking into UGC lately and I noticed I was spending way too much time thinking about my portfolio and not enough time actually looking for clients.
Right now, I’m thinking of just keeping it simple:
make a few sample videos with products I already have

pick a couple of niches I actually like

find smaller brands on TikTok/Instagram that already use this type of content

send personalized messages instead of copy-pasting the same thing to everyone

keep track of who I contacted so I don’t accidentally message the same brand 3 times lol

I’m also still trying to figure out pricing. There are so many things people include/exclude in their rates that it gets confusing, especially when you're just starting.

For people who already do UGC, how did you actually get your first paying client? Was it cold outreach, a UGC platform, social media, or did a brand just find you?
