Who do you think will be part of the pressrun for Season 3?

We'll definitely have the main six we had for the Season 2 press run: Iñaki (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily (Nami), Jacob (Usopp), Taz (Sanji) and Charithra (Vivi).

For the Season 3 press run I think they'll add Mikaela (Chopper), Lera (Robin) and Joe (Crocodile).

I hope the actors outside of the core five will also get a chance to do press outside of the States, for example in Japan where they did a lot of content.

Does this seem like a good lineup? Am I missing someone? Is there someone who doesn't need to be there?

This is all the confirmation I need to know that Cole will do Bon Clay justice

There have been some worries involving Cole Escola having the hardest character to portray in the show so far, but to have Charithra, arguably the best portrayal of a character in the main crew, hyping them up, I feel calm.

Another Actor Rumored to be in Season 3

Cape Town based actor Tailyn Ramsamy is rumored to be in Season 3, based on mutual follows with the cast and crew. Who do you think he could play? I'm either thinking he's part of the Rebel Army, or is playing a much younger Cobra in a flashback. If the second prediction is correct then we might see Nefertari Titi in a flashback as well.

Mackenyu revealing what his favorite scene was to film in the series (Season 3)

There's a few scenes that comes to mind, the fight with Mr. 1 if it was the last scene he filmed (though unlikely), the emotional goodbye to Vivi or Robin joining the crew. What do you think?

He also said at SMASHcon, where the video is taken, that the fight with Mr. 1 is REALLY good and that we should be excited for it.

Possible South Asian Influences in Alabasta and Its Characters

DISCLAIMER: These are not confirmed inspirations and are only speculative, although some are more obvious than others. I just thought it would be interesting to share.

The influences are as follows:

  • The capital city Alubarna is heavily inspired by the Indian cities of Jaisalmer and Jodhpur. The fortified city is inspired by Jaisalmer Fort, the palace fort is inspired by Mehrangarh Fort, and the clock tower is inspired by Ghanta Ghar.
  • The Royal Palace shares a strong resemblance to the Taj Mahal.
  • King Cobra's given name combined with his title may be a direct reference to the actual king cobra, the national reptile of India.
  • Vivi's weapon, "Peacock Slashers," and Miss Wednesday's design are inspired by the peacock, the national bird of India.
  • Vivi's companion Karoo is a larger version of the Indian spot-billed duck (karugamo in Japanese).
  • One of Vivi's favorite dishes is curry, which originated in India.
  • Vivi's first name may take inspiration from Prithvi/Bhudevi, two different names for the Earth deity/goddess in Hindu mythology.
  • Karoo's name may reference Garuda (Karura in Japanese), the riding bird of the Hindu god Vishnu.
  • The Alabasta symbol may take inspiration from Buddhist sun symbols found in Indian temples.
  • I've also read that the royal attire and the dancing outfits contain South Asian-inspired elements.

EDIT: Karoo is actually just a larger version of the Eastern spot-billed duck, which is native to East and Southeast Asia. However, it was previously considered a subspecies of the Indian spot-billed duck.

New Cast Member?

South African actor Liam Bosman could potentially be part of the Season 3 cast based on mutual follows with actors and crew members from the show. Based on his appearance, who could he play? He gives me Sabo vibes, which makes me wonder if they're planning to fully introduce Sabo in Season 3.

Has Season 4 Been Greenlit Behind the Scenes?

David Cannan, a stunt performer on the show who primarily serves as Heavy Point Chopper's stunt double, posted a story featuring Luisfe, another stunt performer, who has returned home after eight months of filming. It appears that Luisfe will return to South Africa next year to film something. Could this be the start of production for Season 4?
