Remember This

this is from this video and I must say I think they delivered

https://youtu.be/bpdS4hgDXLM

I remember an interview with Matt Owens where he spoke about Usopps S1 arc and how since they were on strike he had no say so on editing and that the editing missed the mark because Usopps brave moment in the arc was cut so when this came out.

I seen this and I must say with Little Garden they delivered in a way that makes it feel organic to the story despite how much Little Garden was changed, I must say that I was worried when Matt Owens left but seeing the name Joe Tracz as writer on S2 strongest episodes I must say I am relieved that its in good hands

Music Score for Season 2 Episode 2

I am trying to track down the music score from Season 2, specifically episode 2. The soundtrack comes right after Luffy sings Binks Brew and gets Laboon to let his crew go. When Laboon does, a violin version of the main theme, We Are!, plays. Does anyone know what this version is called and where I can find it?

After the success of OPLA, Hollywood seems to have landed on anime as their next big IP ticket. Several major projects backed by big studios are already under production.

Which one excites you the most?

Are we at the turn of Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy or the Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy moment for anime adaptations that made comic book movies go mainstream and critically accepted globally?

Eiichiro Oda in 2023: "Considering my life expectancy, the Netflix live-action series is One Piece's last chance to truly go global."

We are 3 years post this message from Oda before the release of OPLA S1.

Has this worked out as he had hoped for? Has OPLA managed to weave OP into the wider cultural zeitgeist outside of Japan like the Harry Potter movies did for the books or the MCU did for the Marvel brand?

I will never understand how this performs poorly compared to Bridgerton and Netflix's other Euphoria inspired knock off teen dramas in viewership figures.

HOW IS IT ONLY THE #7th MOST WATCHED NETFLIX SHOW THIS YEAR, DESPITE HAVING A SEASON RELEASE IN MARCH?!?!

How are Inaki, Mackenyu, Taz and Emily not international celebrities like Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Holland, Emma Watson and Tobey Maguire were after their big novel/comics adaptation debuts??

Is it just popular enough, but not in a way that grabs headlines like you would imagine the adaptation for a 25+ years old established IP would or should? Strange.

Weekly Character Discussion - Week 11: Arlong

Hi everyone, welcome back to the weekly character discussion series.

Each week, we’ll discuss a character from the show. You can talk about what you like or don’t like about them, how the actor/actress portrays them, favourite quotes or moments, etc.

NOTE ON SPOILERS: We are focusing on the live action version of each character, and while comparing them to their manga/anime counterpart is allowed, PLEASE DO NOT DISCUSS CONTENT THAT HAS NOT CURRENTLY BEEN ADAPTED FOR THE LIVE ACTION SHOW. Subreddit spoiler rules apply here. Tread carefully if you don’t wish to read manga/anime spoilers from what’s been adapted so far.

This week’s character is Arlong!

Do you guys think we’ll get any Live Action News on One Piece Day?

Just curious I did a quick search and it seems there’s no confirmation of LA announcements but maybe I’m missing something

TIL that this dude is not Ryan Gosling.

I already watched OPLA when it aired back then. But I just found out that Shanks was not played by Ryan Gosling. A WTF!? moment for me.

possibilities for skypeia arc digging a little deeper?

so far in the LA we‘ve seen characters be introduced earlier and many easter eggs with things like, sabo silhouette, garp early introduction, nami reading the noland city of gold book to unconscious zoro etc..

now, skypeia is well recognized for all the crazy foreshadowing for things past ep 1170+

since we know the LA most likely won’t be catching up it seems like such a great arc for them to dig a little more deeper into the lore. though i’m not quite certain how exactly they could do it but it definitely seems like they could do quite a lot. like could they dive more deeper about the sun god? i don’t think they could do something about joyboy could they? maybe he could be name dropped early? idk, we did get garp and sabo appearance multiple arcs earlier.

but what are your thoughts?

Season 3 Filming locations.

Season 3 has wrapped filming. And google earth released new images of the Cape town studios. And i was wondering what these locations could be (specifically because s3 will most likely just be alabasta)

Second and third image are same location (2nd is Loguetown entrance. And 3rd is it reskinned to probably alabasta)
