Dropped my Pixel 10 Pro Fold in wet sand - hinge now making cracking/gritty noises. Am I cooked?

Dropped my Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold in wet sand and some got into the hinge. Cleaned it as much as I could but now it makes a gritty/cracking sound when unfolding. Heard one pretty loud crack too.

Phone still works fine, no display issues yet. Has anyone had this happen before? Did it go away or get worse? Also, does warranty usually cover this

Is it just me or does my Galaxy S21 5G take better photos than my Pixel 10 Pro Fold?

I recently switched from a Samsung Galaxy S21 5G to the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold and honestly I’m a bit surprised by the camera experience.

Don’t get me wrong, the Fold is amazing as a device overall, but sometimes my old S21 photos actually look better to me. The S21 shots seem:

* sharper

* more vibrant

* better with zoom

* more “social media ready”

Meanwhile the Pixel feels more natural, but sometimes softer or less detailed, especially indoors.

I always heard Pixels had the best cameras, so I expected a huge upgrade. Now I’m wondering if:

* foldables just have weaker camera hardware?

* Samsung processing is more appealing?

* or I just got used to the S21 look?

Anyone else moved from an S21/S21 Ultra to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and felt the same way?
