E. HORLACHER?

I can tell this is signed E. HORLACHER, but can’t find much on the artist other than active dates of 1882-1894. It came with my grandparents from Germany, to my parents and now to me. It’s absolutely huge and takes up the whole wall. I can’t get it off myself to take a photo of the back.

Curious if anyone has more info on the artist. I know the child’s face had some repair when I was a kid.

Cancellations

It took quite some time to organize my parent’s and grandparents’ stamps. It’s very interesting that I can trace the countries they’ve lived in and when by the stamps. They have collected my history.

Whereas I love the overprints, I’ve decided my favorite stamps are ones with cancellations. There are just so many different kinds.

Overwhelming Collection to Pare Down

Hello,
Please pardon the many pictures. This is the proverbial grandparent/parent collection that I’m trying to balance out. Any advice on what to hold on to and what to downsize is immensely appreciated.

There are several coin books, lots of half dollars and dollars, a penny someone must have found valuable to them, bunches of foreign coins, and my favorite as a child - the naked woman “Heads I win / Tails you loose” coin for your pleasure.

Thank you for your guidance. Turning to Reddit because my aunt brought the stamp books to a dealer about 30 years ago and mentioned the books came back slightly thinner.

JL Corrosion Repair Success Story

I own a 2012 JK Sport and love it, but my son’s fart rocket is often in the shop and he comes to borrow it. The perfect, yellow, 2021 Rubicon became available at a local car lot, and it came home with me. I learned about the corrosion problems, and there it was, barely noticeable, but on all four doors.

Took it to the nearest Jeep dealership and the shop guy asked me to leave it with him, and he smiled.

It was still under the 5 year corrosion warranty.
For eight more days.

Everything was repaired in a week and a half, and now Big Bird is sitting pretty and corrosion free in the garage.

I’m very, very fortunate.

(Edit - forgot to mention it only has 15,000 miles on it. The tags for the steps to remove the top were still on the back hinges.)
