Ive been using a bucket mouse trap for a while with just water and it works really well. Unfortunately I went in to check and one was still alive and swimming around. I had to physically end the misery, but it got me thinking about what I can do to more humanely end the mice once they fall into the bucket. As much as I hate them I dont want to cause unnecessary suffering.

I was thinking maybe filling the bucket with C02, but over time it would mix with air again and stop being effective.

Any ideas or things that have worked well for you?

I had a power outage but my UPS allowed for a clean shut down. I startup again after the power came back but then maybe ~15 minutes in it randomly did an unclean restart. This was strange for a few reasons

1. If there is a power loss the system never turns itself on again, I always physically press the button

2. There was no Power loss and the UPS is still working

Ive not had something like this happen before and am at a loss of how to diagnose this situation, is there a log I can pull that would give me some idea of what might have happened?
