We hired a girl last month for a basic data entry role. The job is literally just sitting at a desk in a normal office typing invoices into Excel. We spent three whole weeks training her, basically paying her to shadow us and learn the system.

On Monday morning she emails our manager quitting effective immediately. She claimed she had to leave due to "unsafe working conditions" that were causing severe health issues. My manager obviously panics thinking we have a carbon monoxide leak or black mold in the vents and calls her immediately.

She tells him the two standard Dell monitors at her desk are emitting high levels of EMF radiation and damaging her cells. Her proof? She got a dry patch of skin on her left cheek over the weekend. She told him she has a perfect skincare routine so the only logical explanation is that our screens are radiating her face and she refuses to work in a toxic environment.

Three weeks of my life wasted training her over a dry spot.
