In year 2010 I purchased twenty solar water heating units that had vacuum tubes and thermal siphoning, storage tanks, etc., all bolted together and ready to place on roofs and other elevated places. The 150 liter ones cost me US$370 each, including freight and agent fees. (Arrival time 30 to 45 days).

It took me three years to sell these twenty, here in the land of endless sunshine (New Mexico). That still surprises me. These systems are hyper popular elsewhere in the world, yet in the USA they are rare.

Some of these water-heating systems work in temperatures well below freezing, and they heat water in winter as well as other seasons.

This morning I see that these systems are being sold at almost two thousand dollars each. That seems to explain why they are rare in the USA.

My query is, is there anyone here who uses one of these systems?
