Self-help book recs

I’m trying really hard to get my life together. I just moved into college last week and I’m feeling really lost and a little depressed about the transition.

I have pretty severe anxiety (for which I do weekly therapy and take medication), and am generally insecure especially in social settings. I can’t help but think that I’m weird, boring, and/or annoying at all times. I don’t have many friends or hobbies. I just feel generally dissatisfied with my life right now and haven’t felt truly happy in a long time. I want to learn to love the person I am and the life I have, build healthier mental habits, and become more confident socially.

Any recommendations? I’m also Catholic so faith-based books are welcome. Secular is great too!

What does “tea party” mean in this context?

Okay I might just be really stupid but I’m a college student and a girl I’ve kind of gotten to know through my classes just asked me if I wanted to come to her tea party in her dorm after dinner.

Is “tea party” slang for something or is she genuinely asking me to a tea party? Am I just too dumb or sheltered??

UPDATE: It was an actual tea party. Like a group of us made tea in the communal kitchen and she brought cookies to bake. It was a great time.
