Should I extend?

I’m on my try one year for army reserve and I ha ent decided if I want to stay in reserves, get out or go back active duty. My first line kept on pressuring me to extend or reenlist and it’s just my second time at drill out of the 5 months in my unit( been on paternity leave and family issues) so if I do decide to extend by next drill, should I or give more thoughts about it ? I’m planning reclass to a 31B and I know in the reserves you really don’t do your job but if I do decide to go back to active then I can just choose 31b

Aft

I failed my 2 mile run by 2 mins. I want to train for it but how can I do it when I’m stuck with the baby and her mom is cooking vice versa? It’s hard to train when the baby is needing us 24/7

Want MOS should I do?

I want to do 31B but my first line told me 31B don’t really do any police work since they aren’t the same as AD, my second choice is computer work but eh may be too boring. I’m studying to get my cybersecurity degree but at this point I’m thinking about going back to active since I don’t know what to do in the reserves yet. Any got any tips

I miss being a “soldier”

I got out of active duty not too long ago and I’m still new to my reserve unit. It’s great showing up once in a while being in uniform again but it’s weird that the I would see everyone once a month. I just miss being back active duty and being a soldier 24/7. With all the benefits that come with it but then again I’m getting Va disability, I’m going to school and getting housing allowance for it so not sure which path I should choose.

Why is being a MP in reserves , bad?

A lot of people saying being a MP in reserves isn’t really that great and that it doesn’t translate into anything on the civilian side . Is it really that bad? I know it depends on a unit but what do you do during drill?

Going back in, will it be worth it ?

I’m currently in the reserves right now but I haven’t extended or reenlist at all. I’m still on a try one year. I’m about to start a civilian job soon. I’m getting Va disability and also using gi bill to go back to school so I can get that housing allowance. But I miss active duty. I just feel so confuse when I’m a civilian one day then next day I’ll be wearing my uniform and seeing the people I only see once a month or a few days a month. Anyway, in active duty I miss having health dental and vision, a stable paycheck etc. but I know if I go back now then my family won’t be coming with me even if I do a command sponsorship because it will take time.
