I’ve always liked the Domino’s Pizza Datejusts and went looking for other retirement watches. Turns out “Hamilton Masterpiece” was a sub-brand after acquisition by the Swatch Group that produced “award watches” for corporations. This one is quartz and it is SO THIN the watch itself is only slightly thicker than the bracelet.

Found it on eBay for about a hundo. I grew up in a neighborhood behind a Winn-Dixie, which marked the boundary of where I was allowed to ride my bike as a kid. Many a hot summer day I’d sit on the storefront curb with my Mongoose mountain bike and sip on a Chek soda. Anyway, just goes to show a watch doesn’t have to be expensive to put a smile on your face.
