(Sorry the date is wrong in the pictures, I only learned about this subreddit today and had already posted on the gofundme subreddit)

Hello there! My partner and I are in need of a wheelchair accessible van. He has been disabled since birth (arthrogryposis) and requires an electric wheelchair to get around.

Currently, if he wants to go anywhere, we have to bring his manual wheelchair and I need to push him as he is unable to do so himself (his arms are “nonstandard” to put it gently). Being able to use his electric wheelchair would give him back some more bodily autonomy and allow him to go places without me.

We don’t live in an area with good local transportation so no buses and very few ride option are available. Before when he was able to take the bus, my partner would go to the local cities and sell his artwork (he is a wonderful artist)

Hello! My partner has been physically disabled since birth (arthrogryposis) and we are looking to purchase a wheelchair accessible van.

Currently, the car we are using requires us to bring his manual wheelchair that I have to push him in, as he is unable to maneuver himself (you can see in some of the pictures that his hands and arms are formed differently from the “standard” configuration). This prevents him from having bodily autonomy and requires that he has to depend on me whenever he wants to go somewhere.

We currently live in a location that does not have a good public transportation system so he is unable to go anywhere outside of the neighborhood without requiring assistance from me. Before, he spent a lot of time traveling to local cities and selling his art on the street. He’s a wonderful artist and would love to be able to go out and sell again.

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated and just checking out this post means a lot to us. Thank you!
