Made my first cloth body

Made my first cloth body

Was definitely a learning experience. I don't know if I have the patience to try it again! Lol. This little girl is Sylvi Aisling. I need to do another coat of varnish...she is pretty streaky. Or I may just put a hat on her. :)

Introducing Vivie :)

Just finished this little cutie pie. I wish I could take a picture that does her justice, but the lighting in my house is terrible in every room. Lol.

HELP! I put the arm on the wrong side - BB cuddle body

Update: called bb customer service. They said on the new bodies you should just be able to get a screwdriver under the connector and pop it off. If it breaks, they sell individual joints on their website. It wasn’t quite as easy as just popping it off, but my husband was able to hold two screwdrivers together in an x shape and pop it off in the same manner as removing a nail with the back end of a hammer. I’ll triple check the limbs from now on!! It would be nice if bb included instructions.

Is there any hope for me to be able to get it off? And if so, how? I never assembled one before. I was watching a video that said the longer part of the arm goes toward the back, but I think she had the hand facing up and I didn't, so as soon as I snapped on the little cup thingy I realized it was the wrong side. 😞

New besties!!

I finished Indie, the girl with the curls. :) She and Josie have quickly become besties. They are the two toddlers I made. I love them both, and they each have such sweet personalities. Josie is the Doodlebug kit, and Indie is the Jamina kit. I have not been brave enough to try rooted hair, but I love wigs on these girls.

Crazy hair don't care :)

I love this girl so much! Just have to varnish, glue on eyelashes (my first time trying them), glue on her wig, and assemble. Her name is Indie Cascade. She is the Jamina kit, which is a 24 inch kit...the biggest one I've painted. I adore her crazy blonde curls. The wig is the Laura wig from Dolls by Sandie.

New doll…disappointed that skin tone doesn’t look at all like the listing pictures

This is the third time this has happened to me…I purchased a doll on reborns.com that appeared to have a beautiful skin tone in the artist’s pictures, and then when I received it, it looks totally different in person. It makes me not want to buy dolls anymore. My new little one arrived today, and if it was a real baby I’d be calling 911 because it is so red it’s almost purple and appears to be in distress! Has this happened to anyone else? How can I tell if the pictures are accurate when I look at listings? This baby actually looked so light in the pics that I ordered a Reggie body in light colored fabric because I thought the tan would be too dark. I understand pictures can vary somewhat but I feel like it should at least be in the ballpark. :( Any advice?
