PSA & FAQ about Hate Speech, for "Concerned" Lesbians; Radical Feminists; "Gender Critical" women; and other transphobes.

Hello!

We've gotten a lot of comments and moderator mails and misguided posts here after a report published here about transphobia in r/EvilLesbians.

The world can be really confusing. So let's clear up some things, OK?

> Why does AgainstHateSubreddits keep banning '''Women's-Only Spaces'''?

We aren't. We do not have the power to ban subreddits.

Reddit, Inc. bans subreddits whose moderators and/or audience promote or enable hatred, targeted harassment, or violent threats. Transphobia is hate speech. Use it and get banned.

STOP BEING TRANSPHOBIC AND REDDIT WILL STOP BANNING YOUR ACCOUNTS AND SUBREDDITS

> I don't like that

That's the Terms of Service for Reddit. They tell you when you sign up that if you can't or won't follow the Terms, you MUST stop using Reddit. It's a BOUNDARY.

> But all the other social media sites are overrun with Nazis and RedPills and creeps

but not this one. Not the one where the people running the communities on it said "Ban hate groups or we walk away". Not the social media that enforces rules and boundaries. Funny how that works.

> Why does AgainstHateSubreddits keep calling '''Women's-Only Spaces''' hate groups?

We don't. We report on subreddits that have moderators and/or audiences that promote hatred.

The subreddits we report on that are claimed to be '''Women's-Only Spaces''' are in fact transphobic hate groups, using the claim of '''Women's-Only Spaces''' as a way to claim they are being discriminated against in bad faith.

There are tens-of-thousands of actual Women's-Only Spaces on Reddit, that have been going along for years. They don't tolerate transphobia - whether it's casual and subtle or militant and aggressive. You never see us report on them because they aren't publicly promoting transphobia.

> Why don't you cover XYZ subreddit?

Largely because no one has ever made a post about XYZ subreddit that conforms to our guide and our rules.

Additionally, if the subreddit is an Adult subreddit with an erotica theme:

no one posts about those here because Reddit Inc. vigorously defends the right of adults to consentually engage in erotica culture, even fetishistic and self-degrading / consentually-degrading erotica.

That's Reddit defending a right to free speech and freedom of association, from people who wish to censor. Reddit isn't in the business of deciding "Which Erotica Between Consenting Adults Is Acceptable". We, of course, don't speak for Reddit, Inc. - this is just an observation we've seen over many years of Holy Crusaders trying to get Reddit to ban porn.

You might not like that porn. We might also not like that porn. But you'll notice that this is not AgainstPornSubreddits.

We, as AgainstHateSubreddits, also require everyone to take responsibility for their own speech and behavior, and not engage in behavior that kindergarten teachers train toddlers out of, "What about what that other kid did?", to deflect from their own behavior and speech.

The existence of someone else's kink does not bless your hate speech.

> Doesn't this porn / porn subreddit promote hatred towards lesbians / violence towards lesbians?

If you can prove to Reddit, Inc. that a given (Adult-classed, Erotica themed) subreddit involving fetishistic degradation of women, men, lesbians, homosexuals, etc - goes beyond roleplay and consentual adult interactions, into promoting hate speech that escapes the context of the erotica community, targeted harassment outside the erotica community, or real-life violent threats - you can report any such subreddit directly to Reddit, Inc. through the Moderator Code of Conduct Complaint linked at the end of the Moderator Code of Conduct.

#That's what AgainstHateSubreddits exists to do - to report communities promoting hatred and harassment to Reddit Inc, and to teach you how to report such communities directly to Reddit, Inc.

> I think Reddit should ban Porn / Misogynist Porn / Erotica / whatever

You're not alone in that desire. For instance, there are groups in power in the United States currently who want to ban all pornography, and all women's reproductive health care options that give women power over their own reproductive choices, and women's right to vote. They are very happy that you keep helping them oppress women.

> I'm a '''Biological Woman''' and I -

Reducing human beings to genitals, genes, and reproductive capabilities is the kind of policy pushed by the men (and their handmaidens) who have dreams of the Republic of Gilead. And Nazis, too - that was their earliest pogrom and policy, to purge transgender / transsexual / lesbians / gays, ensuring only cisgender, heterosexual people in their society. And they're trying to do the same policies today in Hungary, Russia, the UK, America.

The same groups that backed and funded the legal challenge to Transgender Girls in Girl's Soccer that went before the Supreme Court of the United States recently, followed it up mere days later with a challenge to ALL women's sports in academia. An attempt to gut (what little is left of) Title IX, the laws that protect women (and other vulnerable demographics) in our equal access to academics.

They are very happy that you keep helping them oppress women.

Genetics stop being definitive before you're even born. Hormones determine biological sex in adults. This is medical science. If you want to debate that, go get a degree, get published, get peer reviewed. Stop supporting anti-science, anti-medicine misogynists.

Maybe stop being implicit in your own and other women's oppression?

> But the Supreme Court / High Court ruled that trans women are men and -

The courts that ignored all the scientific evidence, medical evidence, medical and scientific models, every other culture in the world but their own, and the Theory of Evolution - to impose a particular Christian dogma on society? A particular Christian dogma that believes that lesbians are misguided breeding stock who shouldn't be allowed to vote? That believes that gay men are abominations that should be summarily executed?

Maybe stop being implicit in your own and others' oppression?

> Why did you ban me after I posted / commented?

https://reddit.com/r/AgainstHateSubreddits/about/rules

https://reddit.com/r/AgainstHateSubreddits/wiki/HOWTOGETBANNED

We ban people for breaking sitewide rules and/or our subreddit rules (violating boundaries). A lot of people think that Reddit's Sitewide Rules and/or individual community's rules (other people's boundaries) don't apply to them. If you're on Reddit engaging in transphobia, you clearly believe that rules (boundaries) don't apply to you; you are comfortable violating boundaries. In which case - we don't want anything to do with you.

> I don't want to date / mingle with / get hit on by / have intimate relations with / share space with trans women

Then don't.

If you want to know how to do that - it's simple:

Communicate your boundaries.

When a transgender woman (or anyone else you're not interested in) makes a pass at you,

say "No". Or "No, Thank You."

If they persist in hitting on you, they are violating your boundaries - and you should

  • Downvote;
  • Report (for violating boundaries / targeted harassment);
  • BLOCK.

Mods will ban the creep. Admins will ban the creep.

> A trans woman sent me hate speech / a death threat

I don't believe it.

Note here that I didn't say "I don't believe you" - I believe you perceived that a transgender person sent you a death threat.

I know that there are entire groups of incels, misogynists, sociopaths, trolls, and political manipulation operations, who get their kicks (or make money, or advance their political agendas) by making accounts on social media to pretend to be members of groups in order to bait members of other groups into attacking each other.

AgainstHateSubreddits has had reporting showing these groups directly encouraging "Gender Critical" participants to be more transphobic, more hateful, to engage in targeted harassment -- because they hate transgender people AND lesbians AND gay men AND women AND non-whites AND they want to instigate us to fight each other, instead of fighting against them.

This account I'm speaking from right now is not my main account. I have moderated other, LARGE subreddits for over a decade. I use this account to speak here so that Elon Musk's neoNazi incel buddies don't doxx me and come to my home to murder me. They used to brag when we would ban them that we'd never be rid of them. We get less and less of them, now, from 2020 on. The rule against hate speech works.

When someone sends you hate speech, harassment, or violent threats, you should

  • Downvote;
  • Report (for violating boundaries / targeted harassment);
  • BLOCK.

Stop falling for it. Stop taking the bait. Stop being a bigot. Being a bigot makes you incredibly easy for other bigots to manipulate, for their own pleasure, politics, and profit.

> I follow JK Rowling on Twitter and she -

You follow a woman who distributed non-consentual intimate photos of a woman? Who denies the Holocaust? Who wants to sue Amnesty International? on a platform whose owner is a white supremacist incel, who set up a robot on the site to generate more non-consentual intimate porn of women and girls, making it the world's largest producer of rape media and child porn?

And you voluntarily support that?

Maybe you should re-evaluate your life priorities and stop being complicit in your own and others' oppression.

ShitPoliticsSays is a hive of transphobia, homophobia, and community interference.

Our previous reports on ShitPoliticsSays

ShitPoliticsSays post that showboats a ban from /r/pics, driving harassment of r/pics moderators. Post has been reported but never removed by ShitPoliticsSays' operators. Post is promoting transphobia

Post leveraging ableism to drive community interference with r/politics

Post promoting transphobia, including post flair of a transphobic motto - comments include invoking the debunked dehumanizing trope of "social contagion"

Mocking transgender people persecuted by transphobic state laws

ShitPoliticsSays mocking transgender woman who had sex reassignment surgery, labeling her mentally ill

Driving Community Interference / Showboating a Ban from r/Comics for transphobic hate speech

Additionally, because ShitPoliticsSays allows users to free-form the text in their user flairs and post flairs, they've had one particularly persistent person who continues to target transgender people and communities with harassing / interfering posts using post flairs that read either >!You will never be a woman!< or >!OK Groomer!!<, both of which are transphobic hate speech.

This person is not merely a transphobe, but also a white supremacist, and maintains between three to six user accounts at all times, as insurance against being banned from a community or having an account suspended.

After investigating this person's post and comment history across more than eight user accounts, it seems this person was instrumental in driving community interference, transphobia, and white supremacist rhetoric in multiple subreddits now closed by Reddit for causes including Moderator Code of Conduct violations, violent threats, and hate speech.

The operators of ShitPoliticsSays do not remove the posts made with the >!OK Groomer!!< and >!You will never be a woman!< post flairs when reported, causing Reddit Trust & Safety to be forced to remove those posts when actioning the user's account through suspension -

meaning Reddit admins have had to remove more than 600 posts spanning 3 years from ShitPoliticsSays authored by this person across at least 5 different user accounts.

The Sitewide-Rules-Violating post flairs, the use of "Jannies", and the use of the ableist R-slur by this person - across the multiple, sitewide-suspended user accounts they have controlled and used to post and comment to ShitPoliticsSays, are signature tells of this person. The ShitPoliticsSays operators almost never action this person's posts and comments, unless the person pushes a little too far (screenshot by person in question, included in a comment showing that the same person controlled two user accounts and was explicitly evading whatever lax automated moderation ShitPoliticsSays has in place)

Speaking of lax moderation automation, there is nothing stopping people from commenting any form of transphobic slur in ShitPoliticsSays. In fact, 43 separate comments containing some form of the T-slur have gone live in ShitPoliticsSays this calendar year (2026) alone - sorry, I didn't capture them all, but YOU CAN, if you really need to! Also - their operators do not remove the comments when they are reported.

And despite this, ShitPoliticsSays still is open, users are still posting posts with libelous, transphobic hate speech post flairs, Including one denying / defending the transphobia in the recently banned-for-hate-speech and violent threats subreddit r/rapeson, including at least one made by one of the subreddit operators - in what is possibly the FIRST EVER SUBSTANTIATED DOCUMENTED INSTANCE OF ACTUAL MISANDRY I've ever seen on Reddit, packaged in pedojacketing homophobia / transphobia / misogyny - which means that the subreddit "moderators" are complicit in the promotion of the "Groomer" libel as hate speech targeting "womanly" qualities, which has resulted in removal of moderator privileges and closing of subreddits for hate speech, previously.

At what point will it be enough for Reddit administration to decide that ShitPoliticsSays exists to harass the non-bigoted users of Reddit? That their operators are either not active and engaged or are actively complicit in promotion of hatred and community interference?
