I accidentally crushed a VERY dessicated cockroach today at work (in a basement, in the deser, 'twas very dead) and didn't have a chance to clean my boot. After a further 8 hours on my feet, walking several miles outdoors, after all that is my boot really that much dirtier than if hadn't stepped on
The thing was as big as one of those fake plastic cockroachs but very much real. It felt and sounded half way between stepping on a peanut shell and stepping on a light bulb.
