DO NOT pay the extra $$ for quicker delivery
Subject: Failure to deliver on paid express service (Order # 2000147-90362193)
"I am writing this review to express my frustration with Walmart’s express delivery service. I paid an additional $5 fee specifically to have my order delivered within the 3-hour window (by 2:40 PM). Not only did the order fail to arrive on time, but I was subsequently notified of a 45-minute delay.
When I contacted customer service, I was informed that Walmart reserves the right to extend the delivery window beyond the promised time even when a customer pays for expedited service. This is completely unacceptable. As a Walmart+ member, I could have selected the free 3–5 PM delivery slot, but I chose to pay for the express service specifically to receive my items sooner.
This policy effectively charges customers for a guarantee that the company does not intend to honor. It is a matter of principle: if Walmart cannot guarantee the delivery window, they should not be charging a premium fee for it, nor should they refuse to refund that fee when they fail to deliver. I will not be using the express service again, as it is clearly not a reliable or honest value proposition for the customer."
