Does anyone actually enjoy the process of building passive income streams

I feel like a lot of the talk here focuses on the end result the money which is fair enough. That's the goal right. But does anyone actually genuinely enjoy the grind or the creativity of putting something together.

I was just thinking about my latest project setting up a small vending machine route. The first few days were a pain finding locations dealing with suppliers etc. But once I got into the rhythm of stocking checking numbers finding little ways to optimize I actually found myself looking forward to it. It's almost like a game for me.

Is it just me or do others find a weird satisfaction in the building phase even before it starts generating consistent income. What aspects do you guys enjoy the most

Is it realistic to expect a job to actually be fun?

I've been working for about five years now in a pretty standard office role. It's fine. It pays the bills and I don't dread going in but it's never what I'd call 'fun'. My manager says things like 'let's make this fun' or 'we need to inject some fun into our projects' and I just roll my eyes. Like dude it's work.

Is it just a cope people use? Or are there genuinely careers out there where people wake up excited and have a blast most days? Because honestly that sounds like a myth to me. I thought maybe I just haven't found the right fit but after several different companies it all feels pretty much the same. Am I setting my expectations too high to think a job could actually be enjoyable on a regular basis? Or am I just in the wrong industry entirely?

Is the decline of physical music media impacting how we discover new artists?

Back in the day I remember spending hours at record stores just flipping through CDs and LPs. I'd pick something based on the cover art or a cool band name. Sometimes I'd take a chance on an album from a genre I didn't usually listen to. It felt like a treasure hunt.

Now with streaming it's all about algorithms and playlists. Don't get me wrong those are convenient. But I feel like I'm mostly hearing what I already know I like or what's trending. The element of random discovery the happy accident of finding a new favorite artist just by browsing seems to be gone.

Do you think this shift away from physical media has changed how we stumble upon new music? Are algorithms too good at keeping us in our comfort zones? Or am I just looking at this through rose-tinted glasses?
