Lots of police in the area. I was turned away and told there was someone along the path with an axe. Whilst waiting for a ride home, more police and dog squad arrived. Hope they catch this guy and there’s no casualties
Apologies if this is a silly question. Just moved to Linton from Wellington and was fortunate to find a job in the CBD. With not being a driver, I’ve bought an ebike to get to and from work. Just wondering what the inner city cycling is like and if there’s areas for anxious/noob cyclists like myself to avoid?
Does anyone happen to know what happened at the bottom of Stewart Drive in Newlands this evening? They’d started diverting traffic down Bachelor street by the time I got off my bus around 5:45ish. Was someone run over? Lots of people watching from their driveways, there was ambulance and police at the scene too.
I know it’s not really my business, especially if someone was badly injured but like the many onlookers….I’m just a bit nosey 😅

But yeah, what an amazing night and Meow Nui is a great venue imo.
