To be specific, how many minions are working for Gru? This is probably a stupid question, but it's always stuck with me. You could say there are about a hundred or 2 of them, but the reason I've always thought of this question is because of Despicable Me 2. In El macho's lair, we see the true amount of minions he has kidnapped, and it is a very large amount, possibly hundreds or even thousands are locked up in cages or surrounding the entrance. I recommend you rewatch that final battle scene and try to estimate how much there are there.

Now this could still be stupid, like of course there are gonna be a lot, a species isn't just made with only a few hundred of them. But the thing that stuck with me is how the hell does gru even keep them? We've seen his lair, yes, there seem to be a lot of minions and the lair isn't that small. But no way he can keep that amount of minions in one lair, especially with his budget. So either gru has another location where he keeps the rest of them locked up in cages, or el macho just found a way to clone them. Sorry for making this so long I just needed to get this off my mind.

6. Despicable Me 4 (an absolute bore to get through, nothing of substance and is just disappointing)

7. Minions (at least Illumination knew what kind of movie they were making, I mean it's the goddamn minions movie what am I supposed to say about it)

8. Despicable Me 3 (I mean it's watchable and there's definitely still some fun to be had here especially with Gru and Dru's chemistry but the filler is just so useless)

9. Minions: The Rise Of Gru (Kinda overhyped but still genuinely a fun movie with tons of references and Otto carried this whole movie)

10. Despicable Me (Despicably good with great character development, fun characters the minions dont overstay their welcome, vector is a great villain, and genuinely good humor, animation has aged a lot though.)

11. Despicable Me 2 (Remember this is based off how much I like them, The original Despicable me is definitely better but I just enjoyed watching this one more, El macho is an overhated villain with a cool theme, the animation looks significantly better than the original, and the minions are actually important in the plot instead of being filler)
