Great Car. But…
Hello fellow Passport people.
🚙2026 Trailsport Elite Blackout
📍7,900 miles
The new Passport looks great, rides great, has good power, and I am a fan of the Honda brand. On paper it’s the perfect car for me.
However, there are a few issues that are making it really hard to like the car and any input from fellow Passport owners would be greatly appreciated.
Interior Rattles
From day one of ownership, there are 4 places in the car that rattle: Dash vent closest to drivers door, the known defroster rattle, glovebox / passenger side dashboard and back of the panoramic sun roof.
My dealer has been little to no help as they cannot replicate the issue. The noises seem to vary on road conditions, outside temperatures, interior temperature, and other factors so replicating on-demand has been a challenge. What else can I do about this if the dealer is not willing to help?
Transmission
This seems to have gotten better as I put more miles on the car, but the 10 speed seems clumsy. Usually some sort of jolting occurs when shifting from 3rd into 4th or, on deceleration under 10mph. The transmission fluid level checks out and the dealer says it is working normally.
Alignment
So far the car has been aligned twice at the dealer. Both times the front toe was out of alignment. I don’t off-road, hit large potholes or anything that would cause the alignment to be off. Also, the alignment issue seems more noticeable at speeds of 70mph +. About 2 degrees of right input is required to keep the car straight.
I’m sure this all seems super nit-picky, but I believe this is coming from my high expectations from Honda as I’ve owned Civics and CR-Vs in the past without any of these issues.
Any thoughts, comments, questions are welcome!
