Update #2: 40,000+ brands, 100+ brands now!! Also the top comment from my last post is now a real feature.

ok so a few weeks back i posted my clearance site here (www.theclearancehouse.com), got many feedbacks, deserved most of it. the top comment in that thread was basically "make it like camelcamelcamel but for clothes so i can tell if a 70% off is real or made up."

that was the best idea in the whole thread so i went and built it.

what's new:

  • price history on items now. we track the price over time so you can see if that "70% off" has just been sitting at the same price forever, or if it actually dropped. still early (only a couple weeks of data so far) so it'll get more useful the longer it runs, but it's live.
  • you can filter by a bunch of things at once now — pick multiple brands, sizes, colours, whatever, instead of one at a time.
  • way more stuff. it's at 40,000+ items across 200+ brands now, including some that were a genuine pain to get (Gap / Old Navy / Banana Republic / Athleta, H&M, Eddie Bauer).
  • site's a lot faster and doesn't break on mobile anymore, which... a few of you pointed out. fair.

deals are still free to browse. and you get access to all filters for 24 hours if you sign up for the first time.

anyway if you wrote it off the first two times i get it, but the price history thing genuinely came from this sub so figured i'd show it actually got built. keep the feedback coming, it's been shaping the whole thing.

i noticed the clearance section is always the busiest part of the store, so i built a site that aggregates clearance deals from 100+ brands (35k+ products) - you still buy from the retailer directly

mod note: i'm the creator of this, posting it transparent per the sub rules. if it doesnt belong here mods feel free to take it down.

so last week i was out shopping and i noticed something kinda funny - the clearance section is always packed. like if you made a heatmap of foot traffic in the store it would just be glowing red over the clearance racks lol. everyone loves a steal deal, makes sense right.

got me thinking, clearance stuff is scattered across like a hundred different retailer sites, buried in some random "sale" tab that nobody can find. theres no way to actually browse it all in one place. so i made TheClearanceHouse.com - basically a discovery site where you can browse clearance products from a bunch of retailers in one spot. you still checkout on the original store, this just helps you find the deals quicker.

right now its got:

  • 35,000+ clearance products
  • 100+ brands, including lululemon, Nike, Timberland, Zara, and Michael Kors
  • Clothing, shoes and accessories only

would love some feedback from you guys especially, you all know deals better then anyone. what would actually make something like this useful for you? filters, price drop alerts, certain categories you're missing?
