33 gauge needle

Boys and their toys… just received my new 33 gauge needles. Someone asked if the quality justified the 56 cent per needle cost.

Needle packaging alone is top notch. These Japanese made needles are used in med spas to inject Botox in the faces of people who spend more money on Botox than we do on Trimix.

With a magnifying glass, it has a better bevel cut than my 32 gauge. Admittedly, my 32 gauge needles were sterile but not specifically identified for human use. The 33 gauge are.

I’ll give it the real test on Sunday but feedback from someone else indicated it’ll be smooth as butter. I’ll send pics as soon as I fix why Reddit isn’t allowing me to access my photo library.

All streaks end

Had my first miss since my first two injections more than 6 months ago. Bent the needle during injection and it likely bounced off the CC. Left a bump and small bruise.

Waited 20 minutes (it works in several minutes for me), and successfully injected on the other side. I take great care injecting but misses are going to happen. Pulled out the antidote and syringe just in case, but not needed. Once every 6 months ain’t bad.

I’m considering changing needles. Currently using 32 gauge 1/2” from Amazon. I found these 33 gauge luer lock needles from a med supply company.

They’re much higher quality than the ones I’m currently using, and smaller is better as far as scar tissue is concerned. Yes, they’re smaller than the one I bent, but I trust the quality of these more.

I’m not rich but I’ll spend an extra 56 cents on a better quality needle.
