Hi I’m going into ce at Carleton and goin to transfer into CS. I was wondering if there is anything you guys wish you did or missed out on, etc.

I’m leaning towards Carleton for CS since it’s 100k cheaper since I’d live and commute from home. I don’t think there is a significant difference or is there?

My goal is to hopefully make it to the valley or the front of tech but I have a long way to go regardless of what uni I pick.

My stats rn: interning at fintech company rn, interned at a small product dev company in Ottawa last summer. My leetcode skills are trash but I’m working on it. I have alright projects(working on a new one right now) and 2 hackathon wins(1 was a high school one tho)

How’s it going for CS or swe is it really bad or is it possible to get into US or big tech. I’m debating between Carleton and McGill and wondering which could give me better opportunities. I know at the end of the day it’s up to me and I’m alrdy working towards it with an internship under my belt and I’ve been starting to leetcode more seriously.

I’m attending McGill CS this yr and I’m wondering how is the job search going for you guys for either CS or swe even ce.
