I saw the promo to switch to Google Fi and bring your own pixel for half off your bill. I signed up but didn't see the promo applied and when I inquired I was told because I got my phone from Google that it wouldn't count for me. I read the terms and nowhere does it say I was ineligible. Does this seem correct to everyone? I'm still saving a lot by switching but that extra half off is an insanely good deal.

To be clear I did not buy my phone from Google Fi, I got it from the Google store last year while I was still on T-Mobile
