What questions should I be asking IVF doctors (suspected Endo) TTC for 5 Months so far

Hi, I'll get straight to it then.

  1. Im 32 F (with 32M partner) have been TTC for the last 5 months.

  2. On Birth Control from 2013-2019ish. Came off birth control 2019ish

  3. Started getting weird side cramps by right ovary starting 2021ish. Got ultrasound, MRI, the works. Doctors found nothing and cramps went away for a while and came back sporadically but I did not notice it as much until 2 years ago in 2024. Then went away for a while.

  4. Pain came back very strong this past year end of 2025 now into 2026. Ultrasounds show nothing, but both OB and PCP suspect endo. Pain is usually a couple of days before period, then during ovulation, then during period

  5. AMH 1.17 (checked a couple of months ago) and FSH 10. Highly suspect Endo is causing my numbers to be where they are (which OB seems unconcerned about for natural conception, but with Endo in the mix, Im sure my chances are even lower)

  6. In 1 month, it will be 6 months of TTC. I have 2 fertility appts set up with 2 IVF doctors. (One was recommended to me by my hematologist (whose wife had endo and they did IVF).

  7. I have accepted that we will most likely need IVF for conception and am emotionally ready to go on this journey. I don't want to delude myself into thinking it can happen naturally with endo.

  8. What questions should I ask my IVF doctor? Some top questions I have personally is (should I do egg retrieval / fertilization first, then do Lap, then FET?), I know any surgery, but LAP particularly can effect AMH and egg count, so should that even be thought of right now?

  9. Fear is what I feel, but doing the things necessary to reach my fertility goals is what I must do.

Any advice for someone embarking on this journey would be helpful, thanks everyone.

Visa Submitted 5/9, Travel on 6/20 (LA Consulate)

Hi everyone!

So thankful that this subreddit exists! Hahaha

Im a little nervous because I KNOW I should have applied earlier, but Ive been traveling and needed my passport.

Background: I had the 10 year visa that expired in 2025. So this time, I applied for the 3 year reimbursement. However, I'm just applying for a regular L visa (still have living relatives in China that I mentioned on my application), but didn't apply for a Q2 like I did more than 10 years ago. (im worried that this might be an issue for my visa to get held up? For those who have gotten the 3 year reimbursement, did you have to apply for Q2 again?)

Here's my question. After submitting on 5/9, which was last week....and after looking on this subreddit and seeing everyone's experience, is there basically no chance for me to get my visa in time for travel day of 6/20? Looks like things are incredibly slow right now.

Looking for any advice and for others who might be in the same application timeline as me. Any help would be appreciated, thank you again!
